About Us

The mother-daughter(s) team behind A Slice of Orange have grown up together on so much delicious regional produce, they should be too fat to get off the couch. Funnily enough, they’re not – yet – and  despite spending most of their time visiting local producers and winding their way through Orange’s vibrant Farmers’ Markets every month, they still had time to set up a gorgeous regional produce store and coffee shop to spread the Orange-flavoured love.

The idea of A Slice of Orange first came to Vicki (the Mum in team) in a food-induced dream. As a long-time local, she loved the idea of gathering up a delectable pile of totally local gourmet treats, from the smorgasbord of producers in the region, to sell to locals and visitors alike.

In between bites, the family researched retailing opportunities in Orange and settled on the very convenient, centrally located shop they now inhabit 7 days a week.

You can, on occasion,  find the ream trawling market stalls, leaping over vineyard trellising, and chatting to producers about new releases in Orange, but mostly you will find Vicki, Lisa, Jess and Moni dishing out bountiful baskets full of the best picks from the shop to their delighted customers.
